Constructed Contrast
While learning how to weave on the big loom or learning the first steps on the knitting machine, we where given a theme, which had to be researched and thought about. I tried to create different samples with different stages of the contrast. Once just all colours we would persieve as cold like dark blue, aquamarin, green and turquise combined with only one warm color such as orange or red. This recipe can also be reversed, using the warm colours as a basis. these colours include orange, yellow, red and violet. Then they are accentuated again with a typical cold colour, e.g. blue. this creates harmonious samples with nice contrasts that are not immediately noticeable. if you want the contrast to be obvious, use only two colours such as red and blue, which gives a somewhat stronger contrast and makes the whole thing seem a louder, whereas the samples with one contrasting colour are not loud, but not quiet either, because the contrasting colour gives the sample that little something.
